Secondhand clothing sizes vary piece by piece, so we recommend following the garment measurements as opposed to the originally marked size for the most accurate fit. All products on The Break have their complete measurements noted. See below for details on how we measure the goods and how we suggest you measure yourself. Should you have any questions about sizing, feel free to reach us directly at contact@thebreakvintage.com

THIS IS HOW WE DO

Shoulder - From shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeve - From shoulder seam to sleeve cuff

Bust - From one armpit to the other, then doubled

Waist - Across the smallest point of the waist, then doubled

Hips - Across the fullest part of the hips, usually 7-9 inches below the waist, then doubled

Length - From the top of the garment to the hem

Inseam - For shorts and pants, the entire length of the inner leg, from crotch seam to hem

Rise - For pants, from the waist to the crotch seam

SIZE ME UP

Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string to get the most accurate measurements. We also suggest adding on an inch or two for wiggle room.

Bust -  Measure around the fullest part of your bust (under your arms, not around them). If you plan to wear a bra with the garment, measure yourself with one on.

Waist - Measure around the smallest part of your waist, directly above the belly button and below the ribcage, with one finger between your body and the measuring tape.

Hips - Measure around the fullest part of your hips standing with your heels close together.

Length - Measure from the top of the garment to the bottom.
